Consultant for CACAARI Regional Review

CACAARI is pleased to announce that Dr. Surendra P.S. Beniwal has been chosen as the CACAARI Consultation for Regional Review.
Dr. Beniwal acquired a PhD in Botany and Plant Pathology from Auburn University, USA in 1972. He has more than 30 years of experience in agricultural research, education and development, in different multi-task positions and environments in five diverse regions of Asia and Africa.
He became closely associated with agricultural research and development in Central Asia and the Caucasus (CAC) working as Head, Program facilitation Unit of the CGIAR Program for Central Asia and the Caucasus, and Regional Coordinator, ICARDA’s Regional Program for Central Asia and the Caucasus (ICARDA-CAC based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan) in 1998-2001.
Dr. Beniwal is asked to prepare a 30-page regional study by August 31, to be discussed electronically 31.08-21.09 and during face to face consultations on October 16-17, 2009. Dr. Beniwal may be contacted through Beniwal_sps@hotmail.com
